NOTICE TO POTENTIAL NEW CLIENTS: I am in process of training my Golden Retriever, Tucker, to be my co-therapist so that I can provide animal-assisted therapy to clients. There will be times when Tucker is in the office, so if you have dog allergies I may not be the best fit for you – Golden Retrievers shed like crazy! For those of you who are looking forward to “Tucker time”, don’t worry – I will keep a lint brush on hand to remove any evidence of your therapy with him!
To follow Tucker’s journey towards becoming my co-therapist and access fun mental health videos, visit Tucker’s YouTube channel at:
Taking your first step to get counseling can be difficult, and I would love to walk you through this process of personal growth! We all have our struggles, and all I ask is that you come as you are and to be willing to face the things in your life that are holding you back.
Finding a Counselor you trust is of utmost importance. As a Christian Counselor I aim to provide a non-judgmental environment while encouraging and challenging you to grow and achieve your goals. I am a National Board Certified Licensed Professional Counselor who provides individual counseling for women ages 18 and older. While I work with a variety of mental health issues, I specialize and am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, which is one of the most effective treatments for trauma and/or PTSD. It is also very effective in treating disturbing memories, phobias, panic attacks, anxiety disorders, stress, sexual and physical abuse, complicated grief.
